Review of The Firemen's Ball (1967) by Daniel C — 17 Feb 2008
A very quirky film that employs real firemen as the central characters in a ball-type event that goes wrong (things get progressively worse as the film goes on but groovy facial hair prevails). I will admit, the idea that this film was "banned forever" in its Czech homeland attracted me to it but it was only for its political implications.
Not a bad film but not particularly memorable (to the point where I forgot I had watched this weeks ago; probably not the best of signs).
