Review of The Firemen's Ball (1967) by Garry J — 09 May 2008
It wasn't very funny nor interesting. It was an average film that doesn't linger with you afterwards.
Sure it was made by Milos Forman, it was banned in Czechoslovakia and it was one of the films of the Czech New Wave.
But that doesn't automatically warrant it a high rating. It had its funny bits. There was a fairly touching and thought provoking bit, but at 73 mins, it hardly makes much of an impact.
