Review of The Finest Hours (2016) by Kevin S — 10 Feb 2016

This was a really good movie. Surprised it hasn't garnered a higher rating among viewers. It's based on the true story of the most daring and difficult at-sea rescue in Coast Guard history. To me, the film succeeds at drawing the audience into the drama, fear and determination of, both, the crew of the sinking ship and the crew that went out to rescue them in a raging winter storm, off Cape Cod.

Both crews faced what looked to be impossible odds. The audience feels their terror and their struggle to control and overcome it.
