Review of The Finest Hours (2016) by Cathleen M — 28 Jan 2016
Saw this at the Orange County Film Society. Really enjoyed it. The two stories, the fast-paced rescue at sea and the slower-moving folks who wait behind on shore, blend together well and tell a very intriguing tale of an improbable rescue.
Whoever built the tiny wooden boat they used is really the hero in many ways. . The FX of the audacious rescue are outstanding. It's the kind of story that would be hard to buy if you didn't know it was true.
