Review of The Final Destination (2009) by Korben D — 17 Feb 2014
As the fourth installment to a film series that is more about how ridiculous and typically unpredictable the next character death would be, with a proper deal of suspense, I don't see this film trying to be any different than it's predecessors, let alone live up to the way they somewhat entertain an audience.
There is no real character development. The way a viewer likes, relates or roots for a character, really adds to a situation seen in The Final Destination. There is nothing that makes you feel for any character here.
By the time this series reached number 4, people must've thought these were all about how these people die. My guess is that the death scenes here were written down on a napkin at IHop, then made into a film where the only thing I can honestly say is that it's comparable to having a man cut off your wee wee with a pair of safety scissors.
If you are one for that, I highly recommend this movie for you.
