Review of The Final Destination (2009) by Andrew J — 18 Mar 2015
David R. Ellis also comes back to direct the fourth movie, and it shows that it's running out of ideas. The acting is average at best, and the soundtrack by Brian Tyler is good. The effects are terrible, downright laughable at times, and the characters are more stupid than ever.
The movie is going for the tongue-in-cheek tone, but it's not funny and just come up as more uncomfortable, and it's not in good way either. The deaths are easily the best parts, but with the effects being so bad, it makes the death scenes look more stale, and they apparently have no bones ether.
The writing is more cheesy in a groan, not fun, way, and is just bad although there's some interesting scenes in it that has never been addressed before in other films. The ending is terrible and is not close enough to be as exciting as Final Destination 3.
The Final Destination is a tiring film that is more of the same even though it's suppose to be the final payoff which there's none of it and it doesn't feel like it's the last movie.
