Review of The Final Destination (2009) by Byron Y — 02 Jan 2012
So bad it's good! the rating is for how much talent went into making this movie. however, the fun level has a direct inverted relationship with its craftsmanship. the movie made me laugh tears for its ridiculous deaths, teen movie cliches, and its "nail-biting plot twists." the last item best represented with simple lines of dialogue, such as:
"we've broken the chain!".
"wait, nothing's changed!".
"okay, we really did it this time...".
"hold on! what if we didn't accomplish ANYTHING?".
Delivered with so little conviction, i'm pretty sure the makers of this movie didn't bother giving with trying to convince anyone. like a good b-movie, this movie shines because of its faults. now if only bruce campbell can find his way into the next installment in the series...
