Review of The Final Countdown (1980) by Erik J — 24 Feb 2012
It feels like an extended cut of a really good episode of "The Twilight Zone" but is hampered from its potential by having the characters spend most of the film figuring out what is going on around them.
The leads are strong enough to keep the situation interesting, but only just. The plot concludes at the same time that things just start to develop and its impossible not to think of what it could have been.
