Review of The Filth and the Fury (2000) by Colin F — 24 Feb 2011

I found this movie brilliant, basically a documentary about the rise and fall of The Sex Pistols. What makes it great is all the footage blended together with interviews of the surviving members, I was expecting it to be good but it really is a bloody good story, its worth checking out just to listen to Johnny Rotten who is nuts but at the same time very entertaining and very honest on why it all went so wrong at the end and really is cut up when he talks about Sid Vicious. It also does not paint the best picture of Malcolm Mclaren.

Am not into punk rock at all but have to admit songs like â??Pretty Vacantâ?? and my favourite â??God Save the Queenâ?? are just superb, a great film well worth checking out.
