Another boxing biopic with colourful characters but also a grimy side of past glories and family life. The extraordinary dedication of the main actors pay off in the rightly Oscar nominated performances and a labour of love such as this deserves all the credit it garnered.
Sits well alongside The Wrestler and Gran Torino as one of the best 'human story' films in recent years.
