Review of The Fighter (2010) by Richard C — 01 Apr 2013

Thanks to the performances by the actors who completely disappear into their roles (Christian Bale especially) as well as some genuinely well-directed boxing sequences and an energetic script that allows the characters to engage in dialogue-filled arguments that are just as powerful and watchable as the boxing scenes themselves, The Fighter is an example of what happens when the right director tells the story of the way it is.

Easily in my top 10 films of 2011.
