Review of The Fighter (2010) by Travis L — 14 Apr 2013
The Fighter, although not anything path-breaking is a very competent entry into the boxing genre. The plot is predictable but that is really taken for granted for any sports film given the hero has to end up winning at the end.
What is really likeable about The Fighter is the acting, not just from Bale and Adams but from everyone on the cast, no one puts a foot wrong and for that David O Russell must take a lot of credit, his assured hand behind the camera is what really alleviates this film from just average to good.
