Review of The Fifth Estate (2013) by Thomas B — 06 Feb 2014
Quite an entertaining film, although at points slow moving. I didn't feel like the story had started until about half way through the movie, by nevertheless, the first half was still entertaining enough to keep me watching. Benedict Cumberbatch is brilliant as the slightly mad Julian Assange, and the same goes for Daniel Bruhl as Daniel Burg. The rest of the cast play their parts well too. There were some moments where I thought that the writer and director were the only people who actually knew what was going on in the film, but apart from that, it was entertaining; or at least entertaining enough to keep me watching to the end, at least.
UPDATE: I feel like the rating of 38% from critics was a bit harsh. I would have given it at least 50%.
