Review of The Fifth Element (1997) by Alex K — 14 Jul 2012
A unique sci-fi film that is highly stylish and overtly over-the-top. The visual design of this film is incredible. Every set, every costume, and every shot are bursting with life. There are so many moments and details in the film that don't advance the story at all, but they serve to build the universe, and that is what makes this film special.
The story is good, but some characters exit far too abruptly. I would categorize this movie as a silly but fun movie, and I had a good time with it.
