Review of The Fifth Element (1997) by Brandon W — 21 Mar 2016
The Fifth Element is the first Science Fiction movie that I've watched when I was very young, and enjoyed it a lot. So coming across this movie as this is probably going to expire on Netflix, or already had been, I'm a bit excited to relive my memories as I haven't watched it for years, which still turned out to be a very fun flick.
Bruce Willis is great in this, and Milla Jovovich is not that bad in this. The effects are still fantastic to look at, I like the worlds that the filmmakers created, and the creature designs look really good.
Chris Tucker was decent at first, but then he turned into a whiny drama queen which there were some chuckles from him, but it was really annoying and embarrassing at times. There are some stereotypes that seems to be a bit racist at times.
The action is really good, and the writing is not bad, although really silly at times which they make it as a funny moment, but juts seems to be awkward. The chemistry between Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich is pretty sweet, and there are some funny moments in there between them two.
The Fifth Element is a great movie that has a a lot of inventive and originality in it, even if it has some silly moments.
