Review of The Feast (2021) by Ereviews — 20 Nov 2021
Feast starts off as a visual picture hoping to reel it's audience in with a setting that isn't explored much and characters you will almost immediately forget. The build up across the duration of the film does not reward it's viewers with it's cheap grand finale. The editing and Cinematography are a big blunder here as well. Keylighting in certain scenes do not tell the audience what they should be looking out for and a good example is the "cell" that this family uses to "relax".
Most of the script does nothing for the story or character progression until the middle/end of the movie. Even when we arrive to the climax everything is just rushed and thrown together and it's visuals do not meet the script.
While I compare this movie to the likes of "Lamb", this film is far less effective in it's message and really lacking on its ending.
