Awful movie. This not a comedy! This is a dark, depressing, wildly inaccurate tale of Queen Anne's life and her court. The movie stereotypes and dehumanizes women in power characturing them as crazed, hysterical, angry, viscious, over-emotional, coldhearted, incompetent, and apparently man-hating! Geez do the makers of this movie have mommy issues?!
Handling Queen Anne's story with such disrespect, with such poor grasp of history and lack of empathy for her sad life was insulting to this viewer's intelligence and nauseatingly cruel.
The faux minimalist music was silly. This was an attempt to be high brow but really comes across as low class and crass.
Not Oscar worthy!
