Review of The Favourite (2018) by Wiz P — 08 Jan 2019

I thought the acting was great but the directing way too "award-chasing" to be enjoyable. The ultra-wide fisheye lenses, moody talking-head shots and blurred focus scenes were all very self-indulgent of Lanthimos and the enigmatic ending cliché to the point of being merely disappointing.

Another one that the critics will love but the audience much less so ??.
