Review of The Fault in Our Stars (2014) by Duskspark — 13 Aug 2014
"The Fault in Our Stars" demands to be felt more so than it demands to be seen. The fantastic acting is beautifully accompanied by a so well-fitting soundtrack that those two alone can manage to place a lump in your throat more than once, and I'm not even including the heart-breaking story.
Augustus and Hazel aren't your average cheesy book-to-novel teenagers, because their struggle with cancer gives them a certain maturity and unevadable pressure that few stories manage to obtain. If you're looking for a movie that really hits you in the heart with quotable lines that will linger in your head for a long time after, The Fault in Our Stars is definately what will keep your boat afloat.
(PS: read the book. It's fan-tas-tic.
