This adaptation of a young adult melodrama is so **** bad it is unwatchable mainly because of Ansel's pedo face he reminds me so much of a young Ted Bundy. The worst scene is when the leads share a kiss in the Anne Frank house and all the other visitors clap.
Really they accept each other's love in an artifact of mass murder and were suppose o be ok with this. This movie is just way to damn whimsical, Willem Defoe character is the most real character and he is marked as the villain the realist is the villain a straw man at that too.
