Review of The Fault in Our Stars (2014) by Lee D — 02 Nov 2014
While not my typical cup of tea when it comes to the romance genre, the fault in our stars has a very honest and mostly realistic take on love as well as the hardships of those with terminal cancer. the movie has some good performances and doesn't come across as a typical "chick flick" which some guys might welcome.
I personally can enjoy SOME sappy romance but the fault in our stars doesn't really have a lot of that so its pretty refreshing. the only issue I have with the film is the depressing feel if has often from beginning to end.
and while I appreciate the honesty of it I never have been one to desire watching a depressing movie. all in all if you're into these kinds of films then I think its worth a rental but I def wouldn't want to watch it over and over again.
