Review of The Fault in Our Stars (2014) by Michael P — 13 Jun 2015
I am unable to compare to the book so yeah. Also keep in mind those are early review scores, they should go down. This was a beautiful love story, maybe a bit unbelievable but not so much that it bothers you while you watch it. I think that Shailene Woodley did a really great job in this movie, I was really moved emotionally at every turn in the story because of her acting chops. The side characters in this movie were all pretty great and I especially liked Willem Dafoe's character. You pretty much get what you think you will get when you walk in: a nice teenage romance which includes a terminal disease, love, death, life. If that's the sort of thing you want to see then this is for you.
I thought this movie was pretty good, and you should definitely take your girlfriend to see it, but I preferred A Walk To Remember (2002).
