Review of The Fault in Our Stars (2014) by Collin R — 05 Sep 2015
8/25/15 This film is basically a teenage romance. So many of the themes are formulaic and typical. However, since it is about young kids with cancer, I is CRUSHINGLY sad. I just can't imagine going through your short life, realizing that you'll never get the chance to experience adulthood, having a family, etc.
.. Having kids myself, I can't imagine how difficult it would be to help your chiild stay strong through such an ordeal. So, while some of the film is rather typical, it did have a VERY strong emotional impact on me.
If you are prepared to watch something that will probably make you cry, then it is a good film to invest your time in.
