Review of The Fault in Our Stars (2014) by Owen B — 17 Dec 2015
I can honestly say this is probably one of the most cliché movies I have ever seen. But I think that's what makes it such a good movie. I probably cried way to much while watching this movie and I will probably cry way to much the next time I watch it.
I think the more you think about the movie, you realize that anyone could get cancer and die because of it. Watching the movie kind of helped me realize that we only have one life and one chance to actually live it.
So we can't spend time being sad when we could be out in the world accomplishing amazing things. I think the purpose of Augustus dying was to kind of point out that we have a set amount of time on this earth and we get to choose what to do with it and he chose to fall in love with Hazel.
I think it would be nice to see what Hazel does with her life after Augustus dies. But, either way I think the movie was amazing and I wouldn't mind watching it over and over again.
