Review of The Fault in Our Stars (2014) by Linda K — 11 May 2015
This is a movie of two teenagers firstly brought together by a diagnosis of cancer and brought closer by a book by an American hermit living in Armsterdam. And life, to them, is "so unfair". There were two journeys the two lovebirds had to embark on, one to Armsterdam to experience a major disappointment, and another to, well, death.
I thought the two lead actors Woodley and Elgort performed exceptionally well. It was the natural ability of the two to draw people's interest, if not attention at first, that one slowly absorbed an immensely moving yet simple storyline.
The Faults in Our Stars is a worthwhile movie to watch. But it is a bit difficult to go away with any solid feeling about anything after watching Hazel left alone lying on grass fading away...
