The Fate of the Furious is, hopefully, the last installment in a very long franchise. In this eighth installment of the series we find our hero, Dom, being taken in by an old enemy after being blackmailed.
He leaves his family and team suddenly after a mission to steal nukes and ends up being hunted by his own crew. I cannot say more because that's spoiler territory but needless to say that what you think will happen happens.
The movie is far too long with not enough fun action to keep you on the edge of your seat. Instead the movie settles for less than enthralling sequences matched with boring and generic dialogue. The performances are, as usual, fine but not good enough to make you care about the characters or their struggles.
The movie has two entertaining sequences, one in the beginning and one towards the very end. And while they are good they aren't worth the money or the wait. I recommend this only to the already fans of the franchise and nobody else.
