Review of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) by Damjan R — 21 Apr 2013
While miles better than 2 Fast 2 Furious, this film is still pretty ripe with bad writing and nonsense that crowds the story. It's not like this film could have been good to begin with, but for what it is, which is basically car porn, it works just enough.
Without the actors that made the franchise popular, who bailed obviously, seeing where the films are going, the new players perform to the best of their limited abilities. And that's about it, which I suppose says more than anything what kind of film you are dealing with.
Recommended as a tourism spot for cars in Japan, which you will probably never drive.
