Review of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) by Bill M — 06 Jun 2013
One of the most well made and entertaining films of the series. FAFTD plays like a good coming of age story with fast cars, or alternately, a redo of Karate Kid part 2 with fast cars, it's sharply shot, well edited and Justin Lin, in his series debut, shoots the action scenes and car racing stuff with real efficiency, Lucas Black is a likable lead and it has a great pumping soundtrack, for me this is actually better than the first and only behind the awesome fast five and fast and furious 6 as one of the very best.
