Review of The Fast and the Furious (2001) by Sam C — 18 May 2013
Lets be honest, The Fast and The Furious movies aren't the greatest but they are so damn entertaining. I understand why people don't like these types movies but to me they are just so much fun and it's hard to believe that it all started in 2001 with Rob Cohen's The Fast and The Furious.
To The Fast and The Furious is a very entertaining action movie, sure the writing and the acting isn't the best in the world but it works for films like these. The story for this film is basically the same as Kathryn Bigelow's Point Break but I still enjoyed the story a lot.
I thought that it worked very well even though it wasn't written that great because it was simple and entertaining. One thing that actually thought the writers did a good job on is creating some very interesting a cool characters which is pretty surprising.
All the actors in this movie do a good job at portraying their characters, especially Vin Diesel and Paul Walker who both gave very good performances in my opinion. Now the main reason why people like these movies and go see them is for the action and it is done very well.
Rob Cohen does a very good job at directing all of the races, chases, and other action sequences because they all look good when shown on screen and very entertaining. Overall The Fast and The Furious is a very entertaining action movie and is a film I would recommend to anyone looking for a mindless action film.
