Review of The Family Stone (2005) by Aaron C — 08 May 2010
So glad we didn't catch this in the cinema many moons ago. a waste of a very strong cast (ok, maybe except for SJP). ironically, it was her that managed to carry off the fierce, uptight, misunderstood city-go-getter against the backdrop of a quirky, overprotective suburban all-embracing (except against "outsiders") family.
keaton's maternal candidness was about the only thing I liked in this movie.
