Review of The Family Stone (2005) by Elaine J, W — 26 Mar 2011
The Family Stone offered some promise for a Christmas movie that was not your normal run-of-the-mill Christmas story. Although the all-star cast gave some solid performances, from the start, the Family Stone was less than entertaining.
It became awkward and painful to sit through, with the ending (while easily guessed at), seemed to be nowhere in sight. The ending scene was touching, but contrived. 40% for effort, setting and casting.
