Review of The Family Man (2000) by David F — 16 Oct 2011
2: I've always enjoyed this film, probably because it reminds me a bit of "It's a Wonderful Life," but also, paradoxically, because I donâ??t quite believe what they're trying to sell me, and I'm happy to disagree with them.
Cage's lifestyle outside of his saccharine family life really does seem better, and I'm pretty sure many of the people involved in the film agree. It's like "It's a Wonderful Life" in reverse, in that the "wonderful life" is the fantasy, rather than the reality.
Still, it's relatively entertaining.
