Review of The Family Man (2000) by Ben C — 26 Jul 2013
I thought it was alright. But I felt it had a couple of plot-holes and was a bit drawn-out, especially during the second half. Some characters are introduced and seem to be building up to something, but are unexpectedly dropped and unheard from later.
I also didn't understand why the main character was introduced into the whole "glimpse" thing, which was never explained, and being the main plot and all, I felt that was quite a substantial plot-hole.
Though some may say it was interesting, being open-ended and all, which I would agree with, so I think it worked. Speaking of open-endedness, the ending wasn't what I would quite consider the most happy or even very great, but at the same time I did like it a bit.
So overall I enjoyed it for the most part, being sweet and all, but it could have been so much more. It built up and up, but fell flat to me.
