Bateman did a wonderful job directing this film. He and Kidman are solid as always. The film itself is just too far out there from a premise standpoint . I know it's a book. And maybe it's just one of those deals where it just doesn't transfer well.

I think Bateman did all he could. Still it's a quirky family drama. With a ending that tries to be rewarding but just ended up making me mad for Bateman and Kidman and the pure absurdity of it all.
