Review of The Family (2013) by Kinho M — 03 Jan 2014
It's just okay. The acting is all good. Everybody does a good job in making you believe these characters. It was pretty cool seeing De Niro go back to his well known mob character. It's what people know him for and he does it very well.
The story is just alright. No twists. No crazy endings, etc... Pretty straight forward. It's a "dark comedy" so if you don't get the comedy, you won't like the movie. I snickered at most.
Luc Besson is known for writing or directing good action flicks. But this one definitely doesn't fit in that category. This movie had potential but falls short. Mildly entertaining at best.
