What I initially thought would be a cute homage and spiritual successor, in the smallest of ways, to the Scorsese classic "Goodfellas," The Family unfortunately turned out to be not much more than a crude, f*ck-filled, apparent cash-grab.

It's fun for a night of shoot-'em-up mayhem or a reason to say "I miss the old Bobby De Niro," but the odd plot points and ridiculous monotony and predictability of something much lesser came into play and I was left saying "That's it?" as the credits crawled up the screen.
