Review of The Family (2013) by April G — 15 Feb 2014
Pitched as a comedy, this movie is nothing to laugh at. This drama shows a family that's uprooted, and fails to assimilate with their violent ways. Hunted by the mob, the Blakes settle in Normandy, France, where Fred takes his cover as a writer seriously.
No one is safe around this family, sadists to the core. The laughs are few, but the story is intense. Expect this movie to scare you a little, since the characters live out their wildest violent fantasies.
