Review of The Family (2013) by John A — 22 Jun 2014
This Film Has A Good Premise And An Interesting Basic Plot But Sadly A Lot Of Talent Both On Screen And Behind The Camera Are Wasted Here. The Film Follows A Mafia Boss & His Family, Who Are Relocated To France Under The Witness Protection Program, After Snitching On The Mob.
But The Family Have Trouble Adjusting Which Ends Up Blowing Their Cover, As They Take Care Of Business As Usual. Sadly This Film Doesn't Live Up To What You Think It Could Be. Robert DeNiro, Michelle Pfeiffer & Tommy Lee Jones Give Some Good Performances, From The Script Provided.
This Is An Interesting Family Drama However Which Could Have Been A Lot Better. Movie Bashing Aside It Entertains And Still Works With It's Mediocre Script And Direction.
