Review of The Fall of the Essex Boys (2012) by Chris E — 27 Feb 2013
On 6 December 1995 in Essex , three drug dealers were slain in a range rover. The consequences of this have been three of the shittest films ever made. Rise of the Footsoldier (2007) was pure wank but it had the comic genius of Craig Fairbrass and Alan Curbishley lookalike Terry Stone to make it that bad it was watchable. This event was again recycled and re-produced in 2010's Bonded by Blood. Another pointless remake, but once again comedy gold from Stone (who plays the exact same role in Rise of the Foot Soldier, just has a different wig :D ) and Tamer Hassan transforms this pile of pig spunk into comic masterpiece.
Fast forward three years and we have another Essex Boys flick. This makes the previous two efforts look liek The Godfather 1 &2. An annoying voice over that is GBH to the ears and an awful cast, particularly the three main villians, who look like they arrived straight from special needs school.
