Never had I expected a movie to suck me into it's characters as The Fall has. It doesn't just provide contrast in the astonishing imagery, from vast golden desserts to freezing mountains of snow, but we see this contrasts in it's characters as well and there is an even larger contrast between the Roy and Alexandria's world and the Dali-esque world in which the story is set.

On one hand we have the depressed and cynical Roy Walker, played by Lee Pace, who narrates the colourful story. And on the other hand the young hopeful Alexandria who is enchanted by the Roy's story and spends every moment she can at his bedside.

The chemistry between Lee Pace and Alexandria does the story justice. The little girl is so natural in her acting that I sometimes wonder if she is acting at all!

Tarsem Singh has done a brilliant job showing the audience the dark corners of Roy's mind without it getting in the way of the beautiful story he is telling young Alexandria. He also, brilliantly, uses characters from their real world in Roy's stories, which makes us see the story from Alexandria's eyes.

Acting - 9,5.

Visual - 10.

Plot - 10.

Overall - 10.

This movie is a must-see and I advise you to just let it overwhelm you.
