Review of The Fall (2006) by Nick A — 06 May 2012
One of the more indulgent, flamboyant films I've seen in recent memory, The Fall keeps with the expectations director Tarsem Singh cultivated through his debut feature, The Cell. As is the case with that film, this one is more about the imagination and the psychological maelstrom its characters live with than it is about plot or story.
And as such was the case with The Cell, The Fall is perhaps more entertaining as is than it would have been had plot or story taken precedence over the visual manner with which it is told.
