Review of The Fall (2006) by Arielle C — 29 Jul 2012
One of my favorite films of all time.
I feel that it never got the recognition it truly deserved, (mostly for the fact that when I mentioned the movie to others, most have never heard of it) the Fall combines breathtaking visuals along with wonderful storytelling, and the fact that it was shot in over 20 different countries over a four year period with no CGI is mind-blowing. Lee pace is brilliant and I could just go on and on about the magic that Catinca Untaru brings to the film. most of the interactions she has with pace are completely unscripted and Pace even stayed bedridden during most of the filming so that Untaru actually believed he was unable to leave his bed, which made every scene they shared feel so authentic.
