Review of The Falcon in Hollywood (1944) by Allan C — 07 Jul 2013
Tom Conway returns as The Falcon and has quite a lot of fun solving a mysteryn set on the backlot of a fictional independent film studio (which is really the RKO lot). The Falcon is also partnered with spunky cab driver Veda Ann Borg.
SPOILER! Besides the fun setting for the mystery, it was also funny to see the mystery hinge upon the same plot device that was used in Mel Brooks' "The Producers" of a producer overselling percentages of the film and then wanting it to fail to he won't have to pay out.
