Finally got around to seeing this and was surprised I liked as much as I did, and would have liked it better in 1999, it still holds up althoug a bit dated. Piper Laurie and Bebe Newirth make great alien teachers, and the main monster alien is pretty cool.
Filmed in Rodriguez homestate TX the backdrops a not so ordinary and shaby enough to add an uneasy faraway feel.
