Review of The Faculty (1998) by Marjorie G — 20 Nov 2008

I'd give this a 6.5/10.

I was a tiny bit surprised with this movie. Is it a teen orientated movie? Yes. It is also self aware that it is indeed a take on Invasion of the Body Snatchers by constantly mentionning it within the movie and even includes a scene taken straight from The Thing. But it doesn't act like the ideas are original more so uses them pay homage to these films. It didn't have the horrible ending that I expected either. So either way, The Faculty isn't a horrible movie but don't expect to take it too seriously.
