Review of The Faculty (1998) by Roni F — 01 Jun 2012
An entertaining pastiche of Sci-fi B movies, full of stylised clichà (C)s and imagery about alienation (in both senses of the word). The social satire is also interesting; accusing middle America of being a fascist, emotionless, and uncaring society, which is always a bonus for the targeted audience: a disenfranchised youth eager to express their angst through cheese and god old-fashioned fun.
Understandably though, this is not good viewing for time-wasting-averse cynics.
