Review of The Faculty (1998) by Andrew D — 20 Jun 2012
From the brilliant mind of Kevin Williamson, screenwriter of Scream, Scream 2, and Scre4m, comes a new tale delving out of the horror genre. This time, Williamson takes on Sci-Fi in this thrilling tale that creates homages to classic Sci-Fi films including The Thing, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and more.
While not as good as Scream, Williamson obviously knows what the rules of a sci-fi film are and how to use them. He constantly pokes fun at these rules, as well as following them to create a fun sci-fi horror flick.
It was fun, funny, and a little bit nail-biting. It does get a bit cheesy from time to time, but The Faculty is a lot of fun to watch!
