Review of The Faculty (1998) by Scott S — 03 May 2013
The characters are introduced as so unbelievable and outright detestable amidst such extreme situations that are treated as "normal" that I thought I would never be able to make it the halfway point.
However during that middle point is when the sci-fi and survivalist elements take hold and shifts the story into drive. While the suspense and action scenes feel reminiscent of other "body snatcher" type movies, (which even the script points out) the final act did find some clever ways to play with viewer expectations to deliver enough surprises to slowly start to win me back.
