Review of The Extra Man (2010) by Sara D — 23 Dec 2010

A quirkfest with some good performers and one very bad. its sad to see such good comic performances go to waste from kevin kline and john c reilly. dano is unfortunately not up to speed here despite his superior performances in somewhat similar films. its not a bad premise, but the thematic pieces arent given enough time to come together in order to form a coherent whole. I even liked how they ended the film with louis rejecting any possibility of a romantic relationship bc he had so many things to work through before he would be ready, but it wasnt enough to save the film.

Oh.....and katie holmes is perhaps one of the worst living "actresses" if one can go so far as to call what she was doing on screen acting.
