A solid remake of the original German film, The Experiment fictionalizes/exploits the classic sociological guards/prisoners exercise most students stumble upon at one point or another in their education.
Adrien Brody turns in probably his best performance this year (not so fast, Splice & Predators) and Forrest Whitaker cranks out one of his most terrifying roles as Guard Barris. The film takes itself to some iffy places that I don't necessary buy and the ending is way too neat & tidy, but strong performances definitely make this a rental.
